What an unplugged wedding is and why I recommend it for you

An unplugged wedding is when you ask your family, friends and guests to turn off their phones, iPads, cameras and other digital distractions during the ceremony or reception. Do you want your wedding ceremony to look like the picture above? Probably not.

Unfortunately this is all too common, especially in the technology driven world we live in today. As a professional photographer, it’s frustrating to have to dodge raised phones and crop out uncle Bob’s camera because he stood up and blocked my view when you walked down the aisle. As a courtesy to your photographer and videographer, think about adding to your wedding invites that your ceremony is unplugged… your photographer and videographer will appreciate it!

Besides, it’s way more fun to live in the moment and enjoy the ceremony with your eyes!
